The impact of information and communications technology (ICT) on the business tourism and business events

Project description
You will produce a report discussing the impact of information and communications technology (ICT) on the business tourism and business events over the last 15 to 20 years. Information and communications technology has already transformed many aspects of the sector and there is no doubt that further advances in ICT will continue to have a profound impact on how business events are planned, promoted and experienced in years to come. Your report will discuss the different uses for technology in business events, drawing examples from the meetings, exhibitions and hospitality sectors. You may choose to refer to a particular business event (real or hypothetical) to illustrate your answer. Ensure that you also draw on thinking from recent academic texts and journals. Aim to conclude your analysis with your view on – whether ICT should be seen as an opportunity or a threat for business tourism and events.

Essential Reading for the report, please use as much reference as possible from those books.
