Watch the movie Inception. Towards the end of the movie, Leonardo Di Caprio’s character,
Cobb, demonstrates his way of knowing whether he is dreaming or not. Explain what this
method is, then evaluate the method from the perspective of a Cartesian skeptic about the
external world. Would Descartes buy Cobb’s method? Why, or why not?
