2. Chose a character from the novel and chose a dramatic scene and create a dramatic monologue which adheres to the conventions of that text type.
In your chosen scene, base character response and dialogue on information provided in the text. Establish speech patterns for your characters which reflect the way in which the character speaks in the original text with regard to such things as : level of formality, vocabulary choice, style of speech, phrasing and pace. Dialogue must reflect the values, attitudes and beliefs of the character involved and consider the authors writing style and the traditions and social concerns of the setting of the novel. The content of the scene must draw on information provided in the text and subsequent events (this would be from other characters, the plot of the narrator). You need to include many evidence from the text and quotes within the monologue.
