1. Since the late 1980s, both Taiwan and South Korea have experienced similar political development from authoritarianism to democracy. Reflecting on both readings and lectures, you are asked to write an essay explaining what factors and how each of these factors contributed to the same transition outcome in Taiwan and South Korea.
