ASSIGNMENT

Some groups (e.g., women, visible minorities, aboriginal peoples) are underrepresented in Canadian political institutions, and especially the House of Commons. Drawing on evidence from at least three peer-reviewed academic sources, focus on one or more of these groups and outline the causes and implications of their under-representation in Canadian politics. What measures can the Canadian government undertake to increase the representation of traditionally disadvantaged groups?
