Aspect of Film (Movie Making)

Directions: Choose a book of your choice on some aspect of film (i.e., history, technology, directing, scripts, etc.) and concisely expound of your findings of this publication. Discuss what you believe to be the most important takeaways from this text including (but not limited to):
1. What was the most shocking or thought provoking aspect that you learned about filmmaking?
2. What was the general theme and tone of the work? (i.e. was this a book that sells you on the greatness of filmmaking or a tell-all of the harsh underbelly)
3. Compare the information that you have learned about film in comparison to what you have learned through the class readings, lectures, etc.
4. How does this book’s context (i.e. American, contemporary) inform on the perspective of filmmaking?
5. What drew you to this particular text and how did it or did not meet your expectations?
The book report should be in-depth and really explore the chosen text in a meaningful manner.
