Annotation of a presentation
We have done a presentation about festivals (Christmas , Diwali and Eid) in a group work , we created a lesson plans to present the topic for children to learn about these festivals.
I want to write about these points and annotate please and use these theories I have mentioned
• How have you worked as a team (evaluate the theory) we have used Tuchman theory and Gibbs cycle to dress the weaknesses, we also used Belbin theory and john Adair
• Your role in the group ( we all had a role in the group of the topic research )and your communication
• How did you feel in the group (high motivated ) because we looked at the value of festivals and what theme are children learning from this, we did not consider the children feeling, they might not interested to the topic. I think we focused more on national curriculum than the children interest
• How did you deal with the conflict (There were some people who were clashes on which days to hold meetings on, some individuals wanted on it only on Mondays and others only on Thursdays to fit with their individual benefit. After some debate we agreed to meet every Monday and every other Thursday, this seemed to agree with everyone’s personal choices.
some points here to mention
• it is difficult to find a balance between the individual needs and task needs , but trust between members can help individuals to suppress their personal interests for the better performance of the group.
• talk about Tuchman theory please there are some stage is not completed in our group we moved forward to a later stage because one of our group members left the group and that she might not interested on the topic that have selected and that because the conflict on days we have .
• most of the group interact, but one or more quiet individuals are not involved. This because they are shy and lack confidence. the Leader recognise these people need a bit more support or time to integrate.
• The leader split the group into three group each two work together because our topic has to be in three different festival .This limited the opportunities to learn from different people.
